2 large red ripe tomatoes, half horizontal

Sprinkle with salt (if you like)

Squeeze the freshly ground pepper (optional)

Instructions

Place the tomatoes in a broiler pan, cutting the sides facing upwards. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, if using. Boil for 7-10 minutes, until well browned.
